Starbucks is still growing at a good clip OCONUS. Still growing CONUS too, just not very fast. They’ve conquered the liberal cities, now it’s off to Redlands:
The closing stores are often in “major metro areas where increases in wage and occupancy and other regulatory requirements” are making them unprofitable, Johnson said. “Now, in a lot of ways, it's middle America and the South that presents an opportunity.”
Note the bit about “increases in wage...regulatory requirements”.
Viva la #Fightfor15!

With Schultz leaving again, maybe they will refocus on profitability over politics.

Starbucks is not very good coffee in my opinion but the politics of that place would keep me from buying if it had the best coffee in the world.

French pressing good beans, throwing it in the fridge, and then nuking it to drinking temp as needed is cheap, time and cost efficient, and still better than the swill at Starbucks.

Terrible coffee remains terrible no matter how fresh it is. Now the coffee flavored ice cream that Starbucks sells is a different kind of abomination, but I assume that's not what you drink.

I buy from BRCC but they're in Utah. I think so but the recent shipments com from Tennessee.

I would not notice if they closed all of 'em. I remember when you could get a good cup of coffee for 10¢ without political comment that you didn't care for.
