What a letdown – you libs were totally promised that you and your elite cohort would rule forever, unchallenged, over the filthy hordes infesting America’s non-coastal regions, and then all of a sudden those nasty Normals got militant and elected Donald Trump. It’s not fair, damnit! And it just gets worse and worse as things in America, under Trump, get better and better.

This prosperity and this relative peace are the worst things ever. Well, for you liberals. But then that’s all that matters, according to liberals.

What is really concerning is the vile and violent rhetoric that is becoming socially acceptable by the left. Especially When a member of Congress calls for violence against the administration.

I agree, it is awesome! Let's do celebrate a YUGE win!

But not to be a downer, and before we start dancing on Liberalism's grave, let's remember this: Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by nearly 3 million.

For now, yes, life is good and I'm very happy to see the country moving in (IMHO) the right direction! But there is still much work to be done to secure our future. Let's stay after it.

Which is a resounding reminder of WHY the Electoral College is so important.

Without it, we will suffer from a tyranny of the majority, or at least the inhabitants of the 503 counties and equivalents that HRC won (vs 2,649 for Trump) on the coasts.

The Progressives had eight years to swing the pendulum toward ever bigger more intrusive Government, Globalism and other failed policies of the Left. Now they see a repudiation of those policies (even though I am nowhere close to satisfied that our new direction is truly a small, fiscally responsible Government) and our economy and outlook is showing positivity. I certainly understand the dismay the Leftists must feel -- they seemed to have victory -- defined as the downfall of Western civilization -- in their grasps, and now they have to wait before taking the victory lap. As their cries become more strident, I take heart in this -- their unfortunate lack of grace in all this adds further risk to them ever completing their plans. After all, how we do things is sometimes nearly as important as what we do. This lack of grace is becoming something more, and may be fueling a conflagration of armed conflict they may be ill prepared for. I wonder if many Leftists have contemplated where events may take them, individually and personally, if they continue to amp up the rhetoric and foment conflict?
