Saw a video last year that was just a guy with an idea... his testing showed that 4 typical textbooks (which is a pretty common load out for kids in school) stopped the 5.56 rounds. The problem was that the 1 sq ft that made up the 4 book area was hard to control. But if you happen to get shot in the books, you might be ok.

I know, I was more concerned with the armor levels, but I'm gonna swap it out now. Otherwise I will have to bang my head too :lol::
