There's another article somewhere about the previous 18 (whoops, my previous comment was wrong, the 18 were all deputies, I was recalling that some non-deputy employee got in trouble too). The majority of the deputies in trouble worked in detention.

Sheriff is asking for $$$ to hire a staff psychologist.

IIRC the BCSO has 1400 deputies.

On the bright side, this helps shift the statistics in favor of LTCs being more law abiding. :biggrinjester:

I only looked up and read #16-19, all of them were detention officers.....Seems to be the trend, not Deputies on the street but those working the Jails.
From those I know personally that work for TDCJ, and from the stories they tell.....lets just say I'm not surprised.

Bexar County’s sheriff delivered a tough but deliberate message to his newest class of cadets, 17 men and women who hope to don the uniform of a detention officer in the near future.
Doesn't sound like his deputies are paying attention to what he says.
