Fort Worth Police Officer fatally wounded stopping robbery

I read that Fort Worth Police officer Garret Hull, during an operation to stop an on-going string of armed bar robberies in the city, was fatally wounded during a shootout with the suspects. The shooter was killed during the incident. His two accomplices were later apprehended. As much grousing as there is about police officers sometimes, the majority of them are out there trying to do their jobs. Sometimes in the process of stopping bad guys, officers don't make it home safe. Sad day for the City of Fort Worth, but indescribably so for the officer's family. Keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

People sometimes get offended when a cop is cautious about approaching them during a traffic stop or at other times. Here is a graphic reminder of how quickly things can go bad and how quick a cop has to react.
