Provides a mechanism for a person subject to a protective order to voluntarily surrender any firearms owned by the individual to a local authority. The local authority must keep the firearms in storage until up to 61 days after the protective order is lifted. After that point, the firearms must be sold at auction to licensed firearms dealers, destroyed or forfeited to the state for use by local law enforcement.
