Can you run stainless steel media in a vibratory tumbler? Has anybody here done this and how well did it work if at all?

Quick internet search says no. Apparently the media needs to be softer than what you are cleaning. That's why pins are used for wet tumbling. The water cushions the blow. Also, others claim the vibratory cleaner won't have the power to agitate the weight of the pins.
