So does anyone shoot and conceal carry the Glock 30?

Yep. I have a G30SF I carry it in a level 3 retention OWB holster and still can CC it. I really bought the holster to give me a more secure option to OC but with a good cover garment, it doesn't stick out that much more than my IWB with a Sig P250. I carry the Sig more because of its higher capacity.

I had a Glock 30 at one point, and I did carry it...once. It has since been given back to my brother and I do not miss it.

So, does that make the FN 5.7 "less than lethal", by the NYT's standards? :biggrinjester:

And .223 just tickles since it's so small.

I have carried a Glock 30 all day every day for years. It is as accurate and as reliable as my Glock 21 to 25 yards and beyond. Zero issues, zero complaints.

Although the NYT article of course had the liberal semi-surprised reaction that larger calibers cause more deaths, I must say that it didn't seem to get any of the actual details of bullets and handguns wrong. Most anti gun articles have some kind of misinformation in them, regarding gun details.

One might even say that it was even handed........naw not completely.

Ok, thank you as well. Still not sure about no lock.

I have a G30SF and carried it for a while before discovering that I would rather have a light mounted on my handgun than try to manipulate one in my off hand, while operating my handgun with only one hand. I would have stayed with the G30SF as my EDC if I could have found a holster that would accommodate it with a light at that time. Instead, the only one I found I liked was the Safariland 7TS line for a G21SF that I also had. So, that has been my primary carry ever since. I don't think I've carried the 30SF since even though I've since learned that Safariland does have a holster for the 30 with a light mounted.

My only other carry is a 1911 in a shoulder holster that some of ya'll have seen at Rudy's.

This. Plus, .357 magnum is literally a smaller caliber than those beginning with “4” - having the same bullet diameter as 9mm, which also is the same bullet diameter as .380 and .38 special. The NYT is making the editorial mistake of conflating size with power.

Wait! What?!?

I can't believe you just posted that!

Size matters, right?
