When I use the TABC website to make sure a place isn't a bar (51%) im not sure i understand the verbiage on the establishments' license. I see either,
GUN: BLUE
GUN: RED
or
GUN:
I've googled what red and blue mean but I can't really find anything and assume that
red= 51% sign
blue= unlicensed gun warning
nothing = they don't have either.
is this a correct assumption?
TIA!

Yes. Red =51%, blue = blue sign only. The places I've run into a blank has been at a vineyard. Assume it's because of the type of license.

The ones that are 'blank' are G, BA (brewery/winery) manufacturing permits.

https://www.texas3006.com/view.php?id=14863 would be one example....
