Yes, traveling outside the good ole USA, other countries are safer. They implement common sense solutions. For example, segregated parking. Women park in a safe area with extra security. Do feel homogeneous societies run into fewer conflicts.

Numbers never lie and liars use numbers. The article says 39,773 die every year from guns yet past half way through the year 8787 have died. Let's see...8787 x 2 = 17,574. Something doesn't add up. Subtract suicides and gang violence and what is the number. Subtract Chicago, Detroit, Oakland, Newark, New Orleans and see what you get.

Democrats upset with the news media over coverage of shootings.

Beto and somebody slam the NYT over Trump headline.

Prof. RJ Rummel's research on Democide is clear:
That Power kills is the primary and for domestic democide singular general explanation of democide. This is true even when we consider how regimes differ in their underlying ethnic, religious, and racial diversity. It is true when we consider whether they are Christian or Moslem, or the cultural region they are from. It is true when taking into account their different levels of education or economic development. It is true for their differences in sheer size. And it also is true even for the trend of overall democide through time.
The result of gun control is the centralization of power, which has predicable results:

The fact that yahoo would put such a laughable piece of propaganda fiction on its website is just one more reason to break up big tech

This is the type of "science" they espouse:

There are close to as many guns in the US as there are people. There may be more, or there may be less, depending on which study you look at — there's no exact count, since there isn't a national database of gun purchases or firearm owners. Federal law does not require gun owners to get a license or permit.

That's one of the many obstacles researchers face when trying to evaluate why so many people die from guns in the US and what might prevent those deaths.

How will knowing who has guns, prevent anyone from dying, from gunshots?
This is just a backdoor way to push for a national gun registry, which, as we all know is just the first step, to confiscation.
And do they really believe, that gang bangers, will register, their stolen guns? :banghead:

In the past 48hrs, the USA horrifically lost 34 people to mass shootings.

On average, across any 48hrs, we also lose…

500 to Medical errors
300 to the Flu
250 to Suicide
200 to Car Accidents
40 to Homicide via Handgun

Time to separate my Trump loving in laws from their grand kids.

Another not biased opinion from Huff Post.

This one is just sad, if true. Sometimes I think the Huffpo makes this stuff up. I can imagine it happening. We have really sunk to an incredibly low level when we allow politicians seeking power to cause these kinds of riffs in families. This is not a phenomenon from 2016. But it does seem to be affecting more families since then.
