Has anyone actually seen for sale a Remington double stack 45 like the Para's P13-14 were they bought out, I have 2 of the Canada Paras and both are very well made just never saw a new Remington one other than at the NRA show last year.

Haven't seen one yet anywhere. But as you say....Remington bought out 'Para' a few years ago and no doubt just continued the platform.

I have a Canadian made P-13 that I bought new in 95. It is well made and has always functioned reliably.

This is my understanding, Remington bought out Paraordnance, they began making the P14 as the Remington R1, they had some very good sell numbers but the R1 began to eclipse the standard 1911 they sold and they chose to shut down the R1 except for the top of the line custom pistols, the standard run of the mill plain Jane R1 is no longer sold by Remington. Not sure if this is true but that is my understanding!

Kind of what I thought here also my 2 have been 100% since new and did have a 3rd at 1 time, I did hear they made 1-2 runs of the P14 and all sold fast but made no more since, I am here debating right now weather to shoot my Para 14 or STI tomorrow in our match, hard decision really for me. If we had got the med the Glock would have gone. I just cant leave 45 brass on the ground!
