"wearing a surgical face mask"

A lot of people are doing this now with the virus scares. Probably wouldn't have been on guard seeing someone enter wearing one. Now, we should be.

Why you should carry?

If my grandfather had carried, he might have lived long enough to see me get married and have kids. He was murdered when his store was robbed. This was in Chicago when I was young.

Had my dad's cousin carried, he might have grown up to see his kids get married and have their own kids. He was murdered when the store he was shopping in was robbed. This was in the middle of the day. This happened when I was in my late teens.

Had my neighbor carried last month, she might have been able to fend off the man who raped her at 3 pm at the entrance to the park next to the middle school as it was letting out. This was three blocks from my home.

Evil exists in this world. Every day, anyone can be a victim of a random act of violence. The probability may be low, but it is never zero. Even in your own home.
