I have seriously been considering a binary trigger system for my AR 15 and have boiled down to the Echo 2 vs the Franklin Armory Gen 3 BFS flat trigger, what are your experiences or thoughts

My son has the Echo 2 on his AR and it functions flawlessly, I put one on my AR and it eats and jams about every 3rd round, i'm not sure how to diagnose the problem yet, the M16 bolt is a bit heavier than the others, so I may get a lighter bolt, not sure, this may be trial and error

Does the Echo have a proprietary BCG?

Just states it requires a m16 bcg, the one I bought is a little heavier than the rest, so I'm going to get a lighter one and see if that's the cure!
I do like the fact that the echo 2 shows no outward appearance of the rifle being binary! Not sure about the other you mentioned!

Does your Echo use a 9 volt battery and if so does it drain the battery quickly?

A friend of my son's has 2 Franklin Armory binary triggers, one in an AR, the other in a Scorpion. He says the one in the Scorpion has been problem-free, but he had to fiddle with it to get the one in his AR to run.

I may add a binary, but not sure on what to pick. There is new models for the AK too.
I want reliability and performance at that price level.

I replaced the recoil buffer in my AR with a heavier buffer and test fired it today in binary, works perfectly!
