Not sure if this is the correct forum? Please move if necessary.

Saw this posted over on Glock Talk and I don't think it has been posted / discussed here. I think the man in the Pick Up did OK as there were multiple people with weapons.
Unfortunately, this scenario is becoming more probable, e.g., The Austin shooting, etc

Very interested in the members response to this. Protestors blocking traffic with Guns drawn.

Excerpt from article
" In Indianapolis, Black Lives Matter protesters pointed guns at a motorist in an attempt to stop cars from driving on the streets during a demonstration. Indianapolis leaders, including Democrat Mayor Joe Hogsett and the Indianapolis City-County Council have remained silent.

Other parts of the video show protesters blocking traffic and throwing water on cars. You can see the guns being pointed at the blue pick-up truck at the :35 second mark. "

In November, 2016, US/Texas-Law-Shield posted this article, summarizing the legal aspects in several states pertaining to being caught in a riot/demonstration. https://www.uslawshield.com/caught-in-a ... d-of-time/

They have hosted several web shows over the last months pertaining to this topic. If you are not interested in the legal services plan, ignore it a skip over it. The information on the law is timely and important.

In June, 2020, The Law of Deadly Force and Justification During Civil Unrest https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBAZUyovHOc

In July, 2020; GUN OWNERS: How to Avoid Becoming A Headline During This National Crisis... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mcoChkg08bY&t=1s

The law of self defense is not overly complicated. It comprises only up to five elements; Innocence, Imminence, Proportionality, Avoidance, and Reasonableness. Attorney Andrew Branca explains: https://lawofselfdefense.com/beginjourney/

It would depend on what kind of day I was having and whether I was by myself or with family. For the thugs it would be like Russian roulette. It could be a good day for them or a horrible day. If it was a bad day for me I could be facing multiple counts of murder.

I've reached the stage in life where appeals will take up my remaining lifetime. Not a good idea for terrorists to test things since it doesn't matter anymore.

Yeah, I feel like many of these scenarios are real powder keg situations. When you have a dozen pink-haired weenie protestors carrying ARs approaching a bunch of conservatives with ARs, sooner or later one of them is going to point their gun at somebody, who will then shoot in return, and then all heck will break loose in a bloodbath. I'm surprised it hasn't happened already.

Facebook is starting to post photos. This looks real serious. It looks like ordinary citizens going about their normal day are now being threatened by these thugs blocking traffic and threatening people with their handguns. Not just one but many of these thugs.

I'm sorry, do we need mini guns mounted on our cars so we can better defend ourselves while driving.

If I lived in Indianapolis, I would be voting straight Republican ticket in Nov.

BTW the movie Road Warrior takes place in 2021. Timing looks perfect.

I have family that live in Indianapolis suburbs. Went to the NRA meeting in 2019 with them. Been keeping in touch with them as this goes on.

(Edited to correct location of incident)

So, I've got a different question. What happens when these, I'll use the term violent protesters, attack a car with actual, hard-core armed criminals? Dudes that don't want to be bothered, just don't care what happens, and whose default response is rapid violence? I'm thinking about the two guys who robbed the bank in LA many years ago, the incident known as the "North Hollywood Shootout", those kind of guys. What are the politicians running that city going to say about that?

Likely nothing...until it begins to happen to them and/or their family members.

It is a matter of time before all of this goes south for all. If police or NG do not begin reeling this in quickly the outcome is not going to be good. If someone pointed a gun at me they better be prepared to go all the way. I’ve dealt with this crap in Bosnia and was really hoping that I could go without dealing with it again.

Oh and the dude with a cute purse and skinny jeans is precious. Or the father walking his little daughter through that crap.
Side not, if that was my truck the dude holding that handgun was pointing at, he would be greeted when .308 rds from Tavor would come flying out of my window at him.
Morons.

I'm gonna do my best to avoid these situations. If I can see it ahead I'll turn and go the other direction if possible. If I can't then it will be all up to the thugs what happens next. I can promise you , I won't have hands laid on me. :nono:
