Submit date

I have a "submit date" of September 8, 2007 on my paperwork for my CHL.

If I send my CHL paper work on September 8, 2007 by mail and it is post marked with September 8, 2007 will it be accepted, or does the state have to have my paper work on or before that date.

Please let me know as I don't want to waste 60+ days and find out I was too late!

Thank you in advance,

Larry

Larry,

Not sure I understand the question. Are you saying you took the class on September 8, 2005 and your TR-100 is going to expire?

No, I applied for and paid my $140.00, when i got the paperwork back, it said I had until 9/8/07 to submit, so I'm wondering if I have the paper work to TX post marked 9/8/07 if it will be accepted, or do they mean they have to receive the paperwork by 9/8?

I would argue the difference between submit (send) and receive, but I'm not sure I win that argument!

I see, you applied online and paid with a credit card on 09/08/06. Online applications are purged from the DPS system after 1 year.

I would say, send it in. You have already paid for it. What's the worst that can happen?

And then, immediately call the DPS helpline at 800-224-5744 to let them know. If you ask nicely, they might hold your application until they receive your paperwork.

Good luck!

got it, I'll give it a try, they should be able to tell me right away, if they say I'm out of luck, I will have only lost a couple of day.

Thanks for the help!
