Has anyone else been able to track down a Glock P80(Gen 1 G17) since they reissued a limited run of new units througj Lipsey's? One of my local dealers just called to let me know that mine should be here next week, tupperware box, certificate of authenticity, and all.
The originals were never sold new in the U.S. as a P80, but as the Glock Model 17. I honestly have nothing against non-gen4 Glocks, just the fan boys.

Haven't tried but I have to admit they've piqued my interest.

Sweet, a
new gen 1 glock!

So that means 4 generations of improvements were scrapped... and original inadequacies were
purposely put back into production????
I can't wait to pick up some of that range brass!
Even brass shot from them frown with sadness and shame.

It's made for the retro market, same as all of the retro ARs which have been quite popular.
And wasn't the unsupported case problems an issue with the Glock 22s?

I know, I was just poking fun at glock "perfection"... I thought it was fair since the glock guys make fun of our beloved 1911's with regularity.

But no, the unsupported case thing was/is many glocks over the years.

I was asking the question as a way to point out that the unsupported cases was not an issue with the 9mm pistols.

Received it today. No pencil barrel (Expected that) and a few other modifications from the original but overall a nice commemorative of the original G17 that was imported into the US.

As it has been with 1911s too.
