Anyone make it to the gun show at Will Rogers today?
My son and I went this morning. Not as many jerky n' junk dealers as has been at times, but still too many in my opinion. A gun show should be...well, a gun show, darn it!
There were a few good buys (M&P compact for $399 NIB) and a lot of otherwise outrageous high prices (Kel-Tec PF9 NIB for $375

).
I went looking for reloading supplies and didn't find much...no brass at all and only one vendor selling bulk bullets and primers. I came away with 500 9mm fmj's for $32.50 and 1000 Winchester small pistol primers for $20.00....OK prices, but nothing to brag about either. Add in the $14.00 entry fees on top of that and it probably would have been cheaper to go to Cabela's.
Oh well........

I went and picked up some primers and 22lr Wildcat (fresh back to the market after recall).
Through some creative horse trading I also managed to bring home a new Kimber TLE.

I went to the High Caliber Gun show in Houston last month. I saw some pretty good prices. I got a NIB HK USP 9mm with night sights for $644. I haven't seen a new one that cheap anywhere else, even the internet.

I went over looking for a new plinker... I ended up with a Heritage .22lr/.22mag. revolver. I've never had a single action revolver before.
The show was pretty good compared to some of the ones I've been to lately. It was tough to find a place to park.

KRM45 You'' like that Heritage. I bought one a year or so ago to shoot CB caps in the backyard. Pretty neat plinker for the money.
I was headed to the show, stopped at Cabelas first. I had bought a gun safe last week and forgot to take that card I got in the mail. I took the receipt and the card and got it activated for $75 (sweet!), went over to the gun counter and found a gun I couldn't do without. So I skipped the gun show lest I be further tempted.

I made it home with some primers and the wrong grips for my Kimber...lol...They were magwell cut alright, but for a custom magwell. They were a 1/4" to short. I was going to get some ammo cans before I walked out but forgot. OH WELL.....I got to chat with High Velocity for a while...Always a Plus

I had a chance to get to the range with it this afternoon. it's a good little plinker.
The manual said not to "fan" it... Which I assume meant to keep the trigger down and pull the hammer back and let it fall. Of course since it said not to do it I had to try it out
I'll need a lot of practice, but I thought it might be fun to shoot a steel match with it
