Does anyone have thoughts on this? At $2.50 a shell it seems like a reasonable option, assuming it works as advertised.

I used to hand load some cream of wheat loads for my 500 S&W for that purpose. If you go to the cast boolits forum you can find some load info on it. I guess compared to most ammo prices today the cost is reasonable.

Shotgun bores are too easy to clean. I put a little CLP on a boresnake, pull it through the barrel 2 or 3 times, then my shotgun bores have a nearly mirror finish.

Compared to that, Cleanshot would be a lot more trouble and expense.

Maybe more expense, but I doubt more trouble. It's undoubtedly easier to fire off a shell per barrel before leaving the range. That said, we're talking about a minimal difference in effort.
