Well I picked up my "new" old Sistema today, just wanted to share a few quick pictures of the re-do. Nothing too fancy done, just a good once-over, night sights, extended safety, beavertail with commander hammer, DuraCoat refinish, and some good magazines.
Really looking forward to getting to the range with this one soon.
Special thanks to Diode for turning me on to the Sistema bargains at Gander when he did, and "Operators Edge" (a member of this fine forum, shop located in Spring) for doing the work for me. Credit must be given where it's due, good job sir!
Now if I could just figure out this single-action cocked 'n locked thing...and where the speedloader goes. Hmmm.....

Looks great!
I'm interested in more about where you had the mods done.
Could you PM with details(turn around time, cost, where, etc)?
Thanks

Nice looking. Are those Wilson sights?
Surely you aren't giving up your revolvers.

Thank you, not Wilson (I think), they say Tru Dot on the side, don't know the manufacturer.
And no, I'll never give up on my revolvers. My revolvers are my trusted workhorses, my semi-autos are "play things". I just end up spending more money on my "play things" is all.

Do you have a before and after?

No before pics, sorry. Just picture a bone stock 1911 with tiny combat sights, standard hammer and grip safety, and about 5% blueing left.
