Re: Gun free zone question

I avoid 46.03 locations except for voting and jury service. I avoid 46.035 and 30.06 and 30.07 locations if possible, and carry a long gun if I can't. It's a bit of a hassle but it's prudent to have extra firepower in bars and other places where the legislature or property owner says handguns aren't...

Re: Three professors sue UT to keep guns out of their classrooms

Can they be fired for making a frivolous lawsuit against their employer? If not, can the legislature cut off taxpayer funding for their salaries?

Citizens are human too. Do we get the same pass if we shoot uninvited people with guns on our property?

Was Pappas a LTC. Never saw that in any story.
Me neither but he was a LEO for many years and LEOSA offers better right to bear arms than LTC.

Re: Alabama supposedly has the same stand your ground as Florida

The article is very short on details about what happened in the minutes prior to the shooting. However, I think "estranged husband" is legally the same as "husband" even in Alabama.

Re: FL:Stand your ground law under fire for parking space dispute murder

Normal people don't patrol handicap parking spots and pull guns on people with parking violations. Something major wrong with this guy. I'm not saying I want Drejka as a neighbor. I am saying, if we consider prior behavior, we should consider it for both men. Drejka didn't have a criminal record, a...

Re: Store Owner Charged with Attempted Murder

And does anyone understand what "the... property cannot be...recovered by any other means" actually means? The fact that it says "or" is usually why I can justify the legality of shooting over property is legal (but definitely not a good idea). I don't think there's a bright line but here's an exam...

Re: FL:Stand your ground law under fire for parking space dispute murder

If it's fair to consider Drejka's past then it's fair to consider McGlockton's past. Records show Drejka does not have a criminal history in Florida, although the Sheriff’s Office had prior contact with him in 2012 when a driver accused him of pulling a gun during a road rage incident. Drejka denied...
