Re: Dentist and Nitrus Oxide

Technically while under nitrous oxide you would likely be impaired and meet the legal definition of intoxicated. You have to meet the legal definition under penal code 49.01(2)(A), which is the definition for intoxicated for impairment. Sec. 49.01. DEFINITIONS. In this chapter: ......... (2) "Intoxi...

Re: Error in New LTC Applicant registration

Good afternoon everyone. I'm eager to obtain my LTC permit in Texas however I have been experiencing slight issues applying for one on the DPS site. When applying as a new applicant with my Driver License(DL) information, the system doesn't recognize the DL and told me to contact RSD support. I inp...

Re: Ellis County Court Opened To LTC

County Commissioner Kyle Butler voted against opening the doors, concerned about employee safety after threats in past years. He told FOX4: "Sometimes in the courtroom, it gets a little out of hand. You never know what people are thinking or what people are doing." :banghead: Yes, Mr. Butler, those...

Re: So can you carry at the DMV?

Missouri license offices are contracted to private individuals to run. They are not statutorily off limits, but they can post a proper sign. The sign at the one in my home town meets legal requirements to prohibit licensed or unlicensed carry. However, there is no penalty associated with passing the...

Re: Florida Sheriff: ‘If You Need to Shoot Somebody, Shoot ’em a Lot’

I have to partially disagree. You should only shoot until the threat is stopped. Once they are no longer a threat, if you come back and shoot them to make sure they are REALLY stopped, you may face criminal charges. Just ask this Oklahoma pharmacist that did just that https://kfor.com/2018/04/17/bo...

Re: NM: Walmart to stop selling guns in New Mexico

Well, found it, and it requires an FFL to do the check: (2) a prospective firearm seller who does not hold a current and valid federal firearms license issued pursuant to 18 U.S.C. Section 923(a) shall arrange for a person who does hold that license to conduct the federal instant background check. A...

Re: NM: Walmart to stop selling guns in New Mexico

Here is a little more clarification. Apparently the new law will require stores that do firearms background checks to do them for private party sales between two individuals. So, Walmart doesn't want folks walking in with guns and doing the transfer in their store. https://thehill.com/homenews/state...

No. See rule 7 https://texaschlforum.com/app.php/rules in rule 7" ...Offers to trade non-firearms or firearms-related items for guns is fine... SO if the OP would accept a (insert gun model or gun related item her) as trade or partial trade for a non gun item, that's perfectly acceptable, right? Ye...

Re: Why is our forum's URL suffix .com instead or .org?

The .org domain was originally intended for non-profit, like churches, charities, etc. All of Charles domains are .com, like www.texasshooting.com. But like WildBill said, it really doesn't matter.
