Re: Walking stick or walking cane?
I happened to be in the Waxahachie Academy store today, and I took a bit of time perusing their walking "sticks" in their camping section. These are the metal ones that are in several sections that you loosen to lengthen the stick and then retighten to make it "sturdy". I came away very unimpressed ...

Thanks for the link sir. I will check them out.mrvmax wrote: Mon Sep 29, 2025 5:45 am I have one of these, as long as you can grip a round surface (the head of the stick), these work well. You can get them with lead added for extra weight.

Re: Walking stick or walking cane?
I am a heavy man and tall. I have used a walking since 2005. If I am not in my wheel chair I always have this by my side. They come where you can cut the length to fit you and will hold up to 500lbs. They are one solid piece of which makes for a great weapon also.

Are the ones with hidden swords legal for LTC folks?
While I gather that this question was somewhat tongue-in-cheek, the answer is "sort of". Based on a quick review of chapter 46, all swords (I saw nothing to differentiate the hidden from visible swords) are "location restricted knives". The ...

Drive makes the best walkers. The built in seat is very helpful. You can get a cane and cup holder attachments.
All I know is you need more than one and the tips wear out.
I definitely will not be carrying one with a hidden sword. My wife ...

Walking stick or walking cane?
Okay, I am 71 and, at times, am unsteady in my walking. Probably 75-85%, I am fine. BUT, there are times especially when I am tired, I feel that I could benefit from some external stability. In doing my online research, I find that there are walking sticks and walking canes of all types, lengths ...

Re: State Fair of Texas 2025
Well, okay. I guess this will be another year of non-attendance for me and the missus. I refuse to go where I cannot have a feeling of self protection.

State Fair of Texas 2025
So, I noticed the state fair will begin towards the end of September. I haven't been in several years. I was thinking of going this year, but not if they are still not allowing concealed carriers entrance with their personal protection firearm. Is there a change for this year?

Re: Sig P320 un-commanded discharges
I don't own a 320, but with all the hoopla from the Air Force and the public.....and SIG basically doubling down on calling it user error in every case, I can say that I will never own one.

Re: S & W CSX-E
I agree about Grab A Gun. The last 3 or 4 guns I have bought, along with many in my past have been purchased through Grab A Gun, but I do live close enough to get them in person so no shipping involved. Great folks there.

Re: S & W CSX-E
Strange that I am not seeing any of the usual U-tube hoes posting their positive reviews of the CSX-E yet. Usually they are posted the same day as it is announced.

Re: S & W CSX-E
I, too, am very interested in these new CSX pistols. I wanted the first version, but was scared off by so many complaints about the trigger.
