A few more photos that I thought was interesting. The G43 is just a little larger than the G42. Not much difference at all. My wife enjoys shooting the G42 a lot.

Very nice illustrations of the size differences, and thanks for the reference! I'm still looking for a ...

Re: Carrying Habits
Mainly for me, it's keeping whichever hand is the "gun hand" free and empty of shopping bags, kid, or wife's hand, when in public. That's normally my left hand, but occasionally, it's the right. My method and manner of off-duty carry changes often enough, due to weather, clothing, and firearm choice ...

Re: How to Blow Up a Revolver
Everyone knows, if you're going to hot-load a revolver by grabbing the fastest-burning powder you can find, filling the case, and going to town with it, you use a Ruger! :biggrinjester:
I jest, even Rugers have their limits. Follow the loading manuals carefully, and never deviate... but if you do ...

Re: Uniformed TX Game Warden Attending School Event
I guess what's confusing me is:
1) Federal law overrides state law, and
2) GFSZA seems to imply the exception is only for LEOs while they're "working" ( "official capacity" ). An observer / parent at a school event doesn't seem to fit that description.
I've heard sworn LEOs are considered on ...

Re: A Look At The Glock 43 (Several Photos)
It's not just the weight, but also the width. That extra quarter? eighth? of an inch can make a -big- difference in how the pistol rides in certain concealment holster types, how it interacts with clothing, and how it interacts with the hand. I have a G42, and am looking for a G43. I have, or have ...

My "other" vote is for federal, not state-level. It involves dismantling not only Hughes '86, but GCA '68 and NFA '34, under the 2nd, 9th, and 10th Amendments, as well as the dismantling of any and all licenses needed to own, buy, sell, or carry whatever firearm in whichever manner, nationwide, also ...

Re: What are you "complaint" options?
Another option would be to look up who your elected officials in charge of the department are, i.e., country sheriff, city councilmen, etc., and send a copy of whatever complaint to them. Bring pressure on both sides, both a complaint up the chain, and one down the chain. Individual complaints might ...

If you're on the wrong end of them, yes. An AR pistol's got this little pea-shooter barrel, but a .454 revolver has six trashcans to look down.mr1337 wrote:But are they as scary?anygunanywhere wrote:There are bunches of pistols more powerful than an AR. But then logic is lost on antis.

And, when Open Carry goes into effect, if you OC your Glock, you're just another guy with a gun; but when you OC your 1911, you become the cool guy who is both a scholar, gentleman, and warrior monk with a knowledge of fine wine.

And here I thought he'd managed to come up with a right-hand-drive F150... until y'all pointed out it was upside down and I saw the pedals.

"High powered pistols"? So, they're coming after my .44 Magnums and .454 Casulls?
Oh, wait, they're probably talking about factory-made cut-down pistol versions of rifles, utilizing ammo that was intended for full-length barrels and not stubby little 8" tubes, therefore wasting a lot of powder and ...

2. Most police officers are definitely pro-2A and this amendment insulted their intelligence.
Really? On what data are you basing this statement?
From what I've read on the subject of OC, the police unions were squealing like a pig under a gate (no pun intended) to keep the amendment or keep ...
