I actually did research and could not find an answer to this specific seemingly simple question.
Does the Motorist Protection Act also apply to non-Texas citizens (w/o a home state CHL or reciprocity) visiting Texas in their motor vehicles? (assuming they are otherwise legally allowed to possess a firearm, etc.)

Where can I fid the MPA in the Statutes? I don't think I've ever read it.

PC §46.02. UNLAWFUL CARRYING WEAPONS. (a) A person commits an
offense if the person intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly carries on or about his
or her person a handgun, illegal knife, or club if the person is not:
