There are videos being posted in a public media of people saying it is open season on whitey and all cops. They are telling people to take a picture of the ones they kill and share it. Isn't that a criminal offense on its own?

Stupid people say stupid things, especially when they are emotional. I'm assuming you're not blaming one side of the race card in terms of acting irrationally, because loons come in every color. It is unfortunate and factual that non-whites seem to be impacted by PD use of force more than whites, but as said in another thread, no [color] has a monopoly on crazy.

Is it illegal? Maybe. However, if we chased down every single statement on the internet, we'd need a lot more police... And I.T. people.

They don't need to nor could they track down every single statement on the internet. However, they could pursue those that seem to be provoking others to commit crimes such as killing cops and "whitey". Aren't there laws against inciting riots, provoking crime, hate speech, terroristic threats etc? I think what is being sought is for the laws to be applied equally and justly both ways.

How many cops have been killed in the last few weeks and what kind of talk have we been seeing? These so called leaders need to be held accountable for the actions they are or could be provoking. Free speech is one thing, it is another when it leads to the deaths of people.

I've been watching the Netflix series called Narcos. Seems like we are seeing what is similar to the early stages of the war between the Medellin Cartel lead by Pablo Escobar and the police and politicians. If you don't recall much about that, I suggest you watch the series or do a little research. It got real ugly and no one won. Things in our country can spin out of control real quick if we aren't careful.

:iagree:

It feels like we're at a precipice right now. A little more of a push and the country is going right over the edge into anarchy, or a little less of a push and we'll start to roll back into relative calm.

Why are we spending millions to find the killers of a "COP"? While my heart goes out to any family member who has lost a loved one, why are we allowing millions to be spent to catch the killers of another civilian? While we have had a rash of "COP" killings this month, we are actually behind last year at this time. If we want to asve POs lives make them wear seat belts......lack of wearing a seat belt kills more COPs per year than gun violence. However, they sure feel free to write us a large fine for no seat belt(for our safety of course).

Oh my. I would imagine you will get many comments on this post. Why spend millions....
You mention seat belt deaths. This is a problem. As a Paramedic, I have gone to two LEO traffic accident deaths. Neither were wearing seat belts. These deaths were barely mentioned in the local media. Millions were not spent here.

in this case, It take 3 killers off the street....killers that will breed more killers...BUT
LEO's ARE special. They DO deserve millions spent when they are murdered. Like Taypo said, it is anarchy to kill a LEO. I think I will stop there before I break forum rules.

If someone will kill a LEO do you think they will hesitate to shorten your life.

I'm sure there are plenty of folks about to educate you. Me, I enjoy this forum entirely too much to get banned for what I'd love to say.

A "COPS" job doesn't even rank in the top ten for danger. My job ranks 3rd. I've helped more people building medical facilities than a COP ever will.....I guess I'm special.....yeah right.

At what point or under what circumstances does inflammatory language, such as actively advocating murder, become a crime in and of itself? While such language is Constitutionally protected it is clearly both in bad taste and bad form. Adding in the rhetoric of those who want to divide (and conquer) to the institutionally-educated / programmed soft minds out there, the language urging murder certainly seems like a link on a chain to criminal activity and anarchy. Mind you, I do not favor limits on speech, but I do favor responsibility and accountability for ones actions.
