If they all piled in through the back door, then it makes sense. It could also be utter horse puckey...

Of the many words of wisdom shared with us by Chas., this one is at the top. Anyone who has read Chas.' posts knows that he is no "cop-basher," nor am I. We have both been LEO's, and we both respect them and their difficult job.

On the other hand, their being LEOs does not in any way excuse them when they misbehave, nor, as put by Chas., does "I was only following orders" excuse misbehavior.

This makes no sense on any level.

It's dark. A perp is believed to be inside. They all pile in the unlocked back door, without having anyone watching other doors, through which any perp with a brain in his head would escape. Why not watch all doors, wait for more back up, the perp has to come out sooner or later? This isn't SEAL Team 6, guys.

The homeowner has a gunshot wound, a dead dog and a winning lotto ticket to be cashed in at the county treasurer.
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

You may have misunderstood me. I didn't mean that the action made sense, because it doesn't. It's garbage by a bunch of bad cops.

The explanation of how the shooting occurred makes sense.

:iagree:

As are Jim and Charles, I also am a former LEO. And these dolts messed up by the numbers. Limited Accountability/Liability is out the window. :mad5
I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, and I won't be laid a hand on.
I don't do those things to other people and I require the same of them.

I don't think I misunderstood. I wasn't referring to any of your comments that I know of. I was setting forth my own evaluation of the events as described. I agree with your comment above, of course. You used to see things like this in the movies, a long time ago.
