New knife laws
I know the subject has been discussed but I would ask for info on .........Are 'automatic'/spring assisted knifes allowed and the length of blade or over all length ? Thanks !
Re: New knife laws
Automatics are allowed. Blade length still 5 1/2" maximum. No overall length law that I know of.

Thank you for taking the time to give me the help !
Re: New knife laws
IIRC there's also a restriction on blade shape. No stiletto shaped blades are allowed, or double sharpened. IE: no Italian switchblades(that's what I call them). Prohibited. But someone might need to verify that.

Re: New knife laws
I ready my poniard and spear for the next legislative session....

4/13/1996 Completed CHL Class, 4/16/1996 Fingerprints, Affidavits, and Application Mailed, 10/4/1996 Received CHL, renewed 1998, 2002, 2006, 2011, 2016...). "ATF... Uhhh...heh...heh....Alcohol, tobacco, and GUNS!! Cool!!!!"
Re: New knife laws
I thought I had read that they were going to try to get rid of the stiletto/double sharpened blade restrictions in the last session. I'm sorry that did not happen.
Re: New knife laws
I think the Kershaw folks did some lobbying a few sessions back to get clarification that their popular "onion" knife was legal and not a switchblade.
