That's pretty much what happened at the Arby's except for the free part. The officer refused because she was concerned about what might happen to her orderC-dub wrote:You don't seem fooled.Abraham wrote:The sad sack employee at Arby's who refused to serve an LEO, just like the WB dimwit, also claimed it was just a joke...
So, if you're caught doing something despicable, the fall back position is: It was just a joke.
Oh yeah, I'm fooled...
If it were really a joke they would have done it, seen the expression on their faces, and then in the next instant said that they were just kidding and offered them their meal for free. However, that didn't happen.

Why this is national news is beyond me. The officer should have complained to corporate office and have them handle it. Going to the media over not being served just shows you have some agenda.
Re: Whataburger refused service to police officers
winters,
Please, correct me if I'm wrong.
Are you suggesting the police have some sort of nefarious agenda?

I agree with mojo. Some people don't like onions too, but I like a patty melt whenever I'm travelling and see a WB.mojo84 wrote:Matter of opinion.Right2Carry wrote:Let's not forget crappy food as well.Taypo wrote:Yep, they've got an agenda alright. I would have never figured it was a matter of opinion. Whataburger has some of the nastiest eating places. They may be a shade above McDonald's in fast food but that is about it.mojo84 wrote:Matter of opinion.Right2Carry wrote:Let's not forget crappy food as well.Taypo wrote:Yep, they've got an agenda alright. I get that you won't eat there. But do you get that being that derogatory about a place that people have said they like could be considered insulting?Right2Carry wrote:I would have never figured it was a matter of opinion. 2015 the year that everyone was offended by everything.
We have come the place that we are insulted that we all don't agree that WB isn't the best place. It's not derogatory not to like WB. Its ok not to like WB, it's also ok to voice that opinion.
Disclaimer: Anything I state can not be applied to 100% of all situations. Sometimes it's ok to speak in general terms.
Re: Whataburger refused service to police officers
I agree with Rich.
I love WB burgers and fries, but if you care to criticize WB, I don't mind in the least...

Just because he's wrong doesn't make his opinion any less valid :)

WhataBurger fired the punk, Apologised to the Police and restated their long standing support for Law enforcement.
