The draggy Ruger stock plastic trigger unit is another issue altogether...
The first stage take up on these Kidd trigger units are really smooth and light to the stop with the second stage breaking crisply. Repeatable. Every time. The bolt was a tad harder to pull back when dry firing but i only dry fired because i couldnt wait to walk out the back door and shoot a spinner. It has loosened up after a few hundred rounds through them. I should have bought the extended charging handle kit with this upgrade. It's supposed to be the smoothest and slickest guide rod made, comes with three tuning springs and adds 1/4 inch for more to grab when cycling the bolt. I'll find out next week when they arrive with the upgraded reciever pins that fit snuggly, dont fall out, and the new "dampening" bolt buffer stops.
The Kidd Two Stage is an awesome drop in trigger group and was well worth the cost to me. The machining on these trigger units are perfect and both rifles run flawlessly. I've never been a fan of plastic firearms parts so the stock Ruger units are in the 22 parts box in the gun room, exactly where they belong soon to be joined with the stock bolt charging handle, receiver pins and bolt stop. Tony Kidd has done an awesome job giving Ruger 10/22 owners a great product to tune up their rifles. Made in Texas is always good...
