Longhorn alum here, a long, long time ago.
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

I'm just the opposite. For me, college football prompts the same question as does non-alcoholic beer; why?

However, my wife is from Lubbock. GUNS UP!!!

See honestly I do get where you are coming from, however I see so much more competitiveness, desire, and clean play in the NCAA that I enjoy it more. I also still enjoy high school ball as well! hey both my parents went to tech!! I was born and raised a red raider but I decided San Marcos was a little too much fun for me to avoid!

Yes. But after four Aggie interceptions (three run back for touchdowns) it is a tough afternoon.

On a positive note, the A&M defense stopped the run pretty well in the second half

Haha yeah I tink Kevin Sumlin might have ripped them a new asshole during halftime! I'm sorry I have to do this, I should have said it earlier but ROLL TIDE!!! lol I can safely say I was an alabama fan from a young age and not just a bandwaggoner. I just love the football atmosphere in alabams, because it is so simililar to Texas.

Mrs. Oldgringo was in Alabama when Bear Bryant was coach and Joe Namath was QB. I was in Tennessee when Bill Battle was coach. So yes, we're SEC fans.
