Porcupine

Post by DEB »

Great take from AmmoLand concerning another creature to use to represent self-defense. Instead of Sheep Dog, Wolf, or Sheep/Sheeple, the use of Porcupine. Many of Concealed Carriers are not there to protect the Sheep or to be a Sheep Dog against the Wolves, but are there to be a Porcupine, to protect one's self or family.

Unless we keep the barbarian virtues, gaining the civilized ones will be of little avail. Oversentimentality, oversoftness, washiness, and mushiness are the great dangers of this age and of this people." Teddy Roosevelt"

Not acting when the actor can, can result in said actor's death.

I understand their comparison and agree to a point. Where they see a porcupine instead of a sheepdog, I see a sheepdog who is very choosy about who their flock is.

Honey badger knows a thing or two about self-defense as well, though.
