Having a son who is a recent graduate let me say: the UT you graduated from no longer exists. Oh, there may be some critical thinking going on in a few departments.....but the people who are the problem generally aren't part of those departments. Some of the classes my son had to endure were horrific assaults on the intelligence of anyone with functioning brain cells. No critical thinking was in evidence in most of the liberal arts classrooms. This btw, did not end at UT. He graduated from one of the country's top law schools this year and he didn't see much critical thinking among the students there either. 99% of them simply parrot the progressive mantras. Today's college students and graduates, and of course their professors, may well be the biggest existential threat to the Republic that has ever existed.
What "critical thinking" was he missing? What is "critical thinking?"
Pretty much what I said....they recite the prog mantras. They're unable to apply logic and get angry and frustrated when confronted with it.

I am left with the impression that these "educated educators" are prone to rash outbursts without any calm or rational thought before action. I am glad that these individuals in their unreasonable and irrational fears of firearms act as warning flags for the authorities to deny them access to any type of device that may maim, hurt, insult, alarm any other human being currently alive or could possibly be alive in the future. :headscratch

"Classroom carry is aggressive intrusion of the vigilante rights of the largely white minority into our living rooms, our offices, our dorms, my classroom.

This is the kind of racist crap that makes me want to scream. Please tell me, Professor Jorge, has no Indian, slave, female, Mexican, Asian, African American or Arab EVER savagely killed a white person? Has any of them ever done it with a firearm? (Please don't force me to prove how wrong you are, because I will rain down stories on your head until you beg for mercy.)

The outrageous racism of these kinds of people toward white people creates a greater divide between races than ANYTHING the white man has ever done.

It seems to me that the correct answer to this issue, if it really were about race and to show who is in control, would be for all of the Indians, females, Mexicans, Asians, African Americans, and Arabs on campus to get licenses and show that they were really the ones in control.

Since none of them have done this, I must assume this issue is a smoke screen for other issues they have with firearms that they cannot back up.

Keep in mind that the professor who wrote that is undoubtedly a democrat. The same party that brought us a war over slavery, the KKK, segregation and a host of other ills. They are also fueling the racial divide that is currently threatening to tear this country apart.

I think my rights have been infringed on for a lot longer. Go ahead and sue.

Ah, I knew racism would get thrown in somewhere. Mr. Cañizares-Esguerra, if you don't like it, head south. Oh, wait, things are worse south of the border where mostly criminals have guns. I know you'd feel safer there though.

I can't believe the moronic statements some of those people make. You'd think you were in California. I had not planned on OC, but I just might have to OC on a campus, just to see them wet themselves. :anamatedbanana
He actually got cheered for being racist and maing a racist statement that makes no sense what so ever. I just threw up reading that.

What cracks me up the most about these leftwing nutters is that the philosophies they espouse and purport to follow were mostly written by, wait for it............white European men! Marx and Engels, Gramsci, the members of the "Frankfurt School", and a whole host of others, all white guys. The entire thing is absolutely insane. :confused5  :banghead:

:iagree: , and; IMO, creates racism where there was none....in both directions.
