I have shot a few hundred rounds and it performed well, no malfunctions and was accurate enough for stockpiling.
I have read great reviews and would not hesitate to buy.

I've also shot their 9mm Nato ammo and performed well also.

To reload same rd.
8cents for the case
4 cents for the primer
10cetns fro the powder
18 cents for bullet
== 40 cents plus your time and not counting $2,000+ in reloading equipment.
However, making your owm ammo is PRICELESS!

Beiruty,
Best I could do was something like .27 per. That is using my once fired brass, not bought once fired brass.
My reloading equipment paid for itself back in the 90s reloading 45 acp and .357
Abraham,
.30 is not too bad if shipping don't eat you up.

Guys, thanks for your input.
While my wife's at the grocery store, I'm gonna plunk down my money.
I don't yet know the precise shipping cost, the estimate is $18.00.

I buy virtually all my commercial rifle ammo from Freedom Munitions these days. They offer the 62 grain penetrator, described as "SS109", and sold under the ".223" caliber heading instead of "5.56 NATO", for $314.50/1,000 rounds. It is remanufactured ammo, but they remanufacture to extremely high standards. I have shot 10 rounds of their remanufactured .308 168 grain match into .75" at 100 yards out of my FN SCAR 17S.
Granted, it is not sold as NATO ammo, so I don't know if the cartridge specs conform to NATO or SAAMI standards, although I suspect it is SAAMI, but I would submit that for most civilian users, it won't matter a hill of beans, and if you buy 5,000 rounds of this at $314.50/1,000 instead of $380/1,000, the $65/1,000 you saved, times 5, will buy you another 1,000 rounds.
Nothing against ZQI and the video demonstrates that it is high quality ammo, but those dollar numbers might mean something to somebody who is trying to save money wherever they can.
Freedom Munitions also offers:
—.223 62 grain PSP $399/1,000 for newly manufactured and $379/1,000 for remanufactured — a much better choice for HD)
—.223 62 grain FMJ (no penetrator - $316.60/1,000 remanufactured, $356.90/1,000 new manufactured)
—.223 60 grain VMAX ($539.00/1,000 remanufactured or $559/1,000 new manufactured — best choice for HD)
—5.56 NATO M855 remanufactured $310/1,000 (always sells out right away) and newly manufactured for $330/1,000 (also sells out right away)
Just a thought.
Oh, and American made too.....if that matters.

You are correct, where is the cost of bullet? Hornady 55gr FMJ are like 12cents each, HPBT 68gr is 18cents each.jed wrote:Beiruty,

Thanks TAM,
That's good information.
I'm buying the ZQI Guardian (well, I've already placed my order) from SGAmmo.
The shipping turned out to be exactly $18.00.

I bought as many as I can from WalMart for $10/30rnd. I have 8 boxes left. I've shot several already before I found out WalMart's not restocking them.
They shoot well and accurate out of my MP15.
