Vancouver Brand Goes Big With Artisanal Firewood

Post by VMI77 »

https://adventure-journal.com/2015/09/v ... -firewood/

Get your orders in so you can have that fire burning this Christmas.
Prices of Smoke and Flame range from $499 for a couple of sticks up to $1,200 for a small bundle, but customers don’t flinch.

“My customers want to know that they’re burning quality and they are happy to pay a little bit more to achieve that.”

I paid less than that for my gas fireplace, complete with fake logs that "burn" forever. Keeps us warm on the colder days without breaking the bank.

So-call Hipsters label everything they sell as "Artisanal" and suckers line up to pay outlandish prices for whatever snake oil/food item the current P.T. Barnum's are huckerster-ing...

Slap the word "Artisanal" on old jelly glasses, a grilled cheese sandwich, a bowl of cereal, a bicycle that's no good for anything but the junk yard and post a price, any flaky price on it and it'll sell, but you gotta remember to label it "Artisanal".

The last comment at the bottom of the page is mine:
Anyone willing to pay $499 for two sticks of wood deserves to get fleeced. I love capitalism.

It is so awesome to see someone take pride in their work like that. It's time more people should do the same. We all should be inspired. Quality and superior craftsmanship make it worth paying a little more. I may have to order some myself.

Perhaps they should try obtaining an Artisanal CHL, so they can carry a nice Artisanal handgun! :fire
