San Antonio PD does this at their substations.
Would be interesting to see how Garland PD would react if someone wanted to execute a private firearm sale inside their lobby....

I bet they fully understood and contemplated guns would be part of what get exchanged.

Take note all cities, something that actually services the citizenry.

This is an excellent idea. I am sure it would deter a lot of potential scams.
