My liberal facebook friends are changing their view

Post by philip964 »

Interesting. My liberal facebook friends have a lot in common. They like Obamacare, they hate guns.

Now they never say they are trying to get all guns banned and confiscated or stop all hunting. They just want common sense gun laws like banning assault weapons, or ending the gun show "loophole", plus anything else California can come up with.

Recently I have noticed that Obamacare is becoming unworkable since no one has signed up, unless they were uninsured and had a chronic condition.

Suddenly these people who defended Obamacare as the greatest thing since sliced bread are all on the "single payer" bandwagon as the real solution to healthcare and can't wait for Obamacare to finally fail so we can have the real solution to our nations healtcare, "single payer".

Interesting how it works.

Why do you have liberal friends?

Single payer is not the answer. Addressing the overwhelming cost of care is the answer.

This. I don't have any liberal friends, and on my facebook acquaintances, I dropped everyone of them, and as more would crop up (rainbow profile cover) I would unfriend them too.

I thought everyone has at least one friend that they are ashamed of.

No, that's family memebers. You get to choose your friends. :cheers2:
In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law to pursue a natural justice.

Exactly. Single payer systems are a treatment for the problem, not the cure. Insurance companies need to quite down and sit in the side line while action is taken to reduce the costs of healthcare. $2,500 for a simple ER visit is the problem.

Where did you go and get off for only $2500? That won't cover an ear ache. Just realize that Blue Cross lost $400,000,000 in Texas and in 2016 unless you are in a group policy they will switch you from a PPO to an HMO in 2016. In my city there are virtually no providers or hospitals on the plan. Might as well go bare. Thank you for nothing Obama. Wife's insurance going from $250 pre Obama to about $800/mos and it is a very high deductible. Never thought I would be glad to be on medicare.

me and my wife have the BCBS PPO, got a letter they discontinued and put us on an HMO plan for 2016. Our increase would have been 5-10% higher monthly premiums. Checked the plan's and my cardiologist and Baylor Heart hospital were not listed. Since this is very important for me, we checked on other plans and the only one with my preferred doctors is Baylor Scott and White, but my primary doctor and all the other area hospitals are not on the plan.

its a big mess

"rlol" I was thinking the same thing!

I don't have any liberal friends, just a few liberal relatives and my kids friends have some liberal parents however. I do my best to avoid them because when the discussion turns to nonsense I just can't help but speak my mind.

I can recall two dinner parties that didn't go over well. I said what I had to say, gathered up the wife and kids and left. You can't argue with stupid.

My wife has returned to the scene of the crime with the kids but not me and the few times we were invited to back I politely made up an excuse not to go.

" I'm sorry honey I can't make it, I have something else I'd rather do, like cover my self in honey and jump in a pile of red ants then douse myself in gasoline and set myself on fire after severing several body parts, before ever going back to those self important holier than thou progressive liberal communist who came from a 3rd world crap hole and are now trying to import their brand of stupidity here."
