The Escape, Hide, or Fight-Like-the-Dickens when the first two aren't viable is actually the same methodology that's been taught as the standard for a decade or so. Much of the thought process of locking down & waiting for SWAT changed after Columbine, & after 9/11 the passive victim mindset went to the wayside.

I hear you, but I have processed way too many crime scenes with way too many dead people who went with "hide and hope."
