Went shopping for 22lr bricks of 350 or 500
found none at gander mtn or academy,
gander had at least 15 people waiting to see pistols...one saleguy...we waited for over 20 mins
so crossed the street to academy,
then my wife saw a nice compact .45 xd mod2.(case, two magazines [13 and a 9], belt holder for magazines, belt tactical holster, barrel lock, cleaning brush two new fiber optic filaments)...WOW 6 sales guys and 30 or so people, took us about 1/2hr to select, sample and buy
so it could followed us home
I think it will be the new carry
then on Springfield website if you buy before dec 31 you get a free two pistol range bag, two new magazines and a belt holder for the new magazines.

No, remember he said he was shopping for .22lr ammo by the brick, he might have actually have come out cheaper this way.Breny414 wrote:You spent ten times more than you planned to.

Success always occurs in private, and failure in full view.

If that's the case.... "All you folks wanting a brick of 22 long rifle, c'mon over to my place, and bring enuff money to buy a XD(m) compact - I'll sell you one brick, and throw in another just for grins and giggles!"SigM4 wrote:No, remember he said he was shopping for .22lr ammo by the brick, he might have actually have come out cheaper this way.Breny414 wrote:You spent ten times more than you planned to.
I think I'll still come out on top of that deal!
BTW - anyone really looking for 22LR and not finding it locally - c'mon up to the Metroplex. Cabelas has a bunch, with no limits the last time I looked, and the Fort Worth Gander Mountain (northwest loop 820) had a bunch as well.

Congrats to your wife on her fine purchase!!!
Cabela's in Austin (Buda) had plenty of bricks, too.

Re: went shpping for 22lr
finally had a nice day so we got some range time in
a bit over 100 rounds and i figured out to compensate its about 1/2 lower than the xd9mm i regularly use at the range, then it was all good
someone left some cool targets that cause you focus on each numbers circle, so i played around, and found if i just picture the next shot and simply aim and fire.instinctively..bam i was hitting the numbers.
i have to start using targets like that.
time to order more bullets
