Well the guy in this story is showing no sensitivity for his wife's feelings. He disappears to be with guns rather than with his wife??? He will not be happily married for long. The 2nd amendment is great but try sleeping alone with it.

I cannot imagine treating my sweetie of more than half a century like that.

Good luck at home if you think this is funny...

Hilarious. I've never been able to walk or drive past a gun shop or a pawn shop that sells guns and my wife is very good at identifying them so I can turn around if I accidentally miss one.

Geez Dale, lighten up. It's a joke. I've been married for 30 years and see no break up in our future with the exception of death. Your commitment and dedication to your wife is quite admirable and to be respected.

Life without a sense of humor must be miserable.

So, if someone says it's a joke it MUST be funny?

Doesn't it matter that the wife in this "joke" had her feelings trounced? I think a guy's first priority should be making absolutely sure his wife has no doubt that she is loved, respected, and appreciated - and never, ever taken for granted.

Sorry to belabor this but I hate to see a woman abused even a little.

I'm done...

So the wife assumes she's getting jewelry because the husband used the jewelry store as a point of reference and now she's a poor abused woman? That's a stretch of fantasy, gesh man it is a joke lighten up.

Interesting how a simple joke, whether funny or not, based on simple poor communication and assumptions, can be construed as abuse.

On top of that, I doubt this really happened.

A couple were in a busy shopping center just before Christmas. The wife suddenly noticed that her husband was missing and as they had a lot to do, so she called him on the mobile.

The wife said " Where are you, you know we have lots to do."

He said "You remember the jewelers we went into about 10 years ago, and you fell in love with that diamond necklace? I could not afford it at the time and I said that one day I would get it for you?"

Little tears started to flow down her cheek and she got all choked up…

"Yes, I do remember that shop." she replied.

"Well I am in the gun shop next door to that."
Hope he has a comfortable couch.

Been married for 28 years. My wife thought it was hilarious.
