Laserlyte Trainer Cartridge

Post by Scott in Houston »

I'm about to order one of these… anyone have one?

It gets great reviews on Amazon (almost 5 stars with 100's of reviews).

I dry fire practice a lot, but this seems to add a nice dimension for a "reasonable" cost.

My only concern is that the laser isn't aligned properly as it appears that you cannot adjust it. Amazon has a good return policy, so I am willing to take that risk.

Curious if anyone here has used one.

I have both a Laserlyte and a SIRT. My recommendation: skip the laserlyte, just get the SIRT pistol.

The SIRT pistol is nice to be able to shoot multiple times without having to rack the slide every single shot. There is also some cool FREE software out for laser training. Check out these.

I have the same setup with the 45acp adapter kit. I use it in a 1911. The instant confirmation where each shot would've hit has added a great deal to my dry fire practice.

I also like that it includes a red plastic nut to the muzzle as instant verification that unit is installed and that pistol can't fire a live round.
