Armscor 22tcm95 Conversion Kit For Glocks

Post by Abraham »

Anyone here have any experience with the Armscor TCM9R round?

It's necked down and the bullet (no, I don't know what grain) supposedly travels at 2000 FPS.

The above is used in a Rock Island conversion kit designed for Glock 17/19/22.

Thoughts?

I was excited about this news when I first heard about it but then I purchased a 22TCM 1911 and quite frankly I'm glad I did. The conversion kit is quite expensive and the shorter length specialty ammo (necked down .223, 39 grain) required for use in the Glock will likely be about as abundant as Unicorn teeth. I still think the conversion is a great idea but its cost is too close to the cost of a 22TCM pistol to make it worthwhile for me. Absolutely best price I have found on the regular 22TCM round is $0.37/round.

The 22TCM is just too much fun to shoot however and I would recommend that everyone at least try shooting one. Every time I take it to the range, it acts like a magnet. Everybody wants to try it and I literally haven't found a single person yet who did not have a grin from ear to ear after shooting one magazine.

I don't have any experience with the Glock conversion, but my dad bought the 1911 22tcm/9mm combo, commander size.
Its a great shooter, super quick round with very little recoil. Incredible ballistics.

It would be awesome on a carbine platform, if I reloaded, or rounds were cheaper.

Bought Glock 17 TCM conversion from Armscorp. First round fired - case not ejected, stuck in chamber. Cleared the case, second round fired - the same problem. Returning.
