CBS News Sunday Morning

Post by joe817 »

I just tuned to our local CBS affiliate KTVT- Ft. Worth, and was pleasantly pleased to watch what appears to be their CBS News Sunday Morning program fully devoted to firearms. It's covering the full gauntlet of guns, gun safety, SD guns, guns used in the military, body armor, harderned vehicles, guns used for self-defense, guns used in the military, women & guns for self defense, legal issues, etc, etc, etc.

It's a mostly pro-gun program, refreshing to watch. I hope you get a chance to see it. :thumbs2:

I don't see it as pro-gun, but do see it as a fairly neutral reporting on guns. That is probably the best you can ask for from the generally liberal media.

I noticed the Wyoming guy in the cowboy hat with the 5-yo looked to have a case of slide bite on his left thumb. Nothing like bleeding on national television.

 I guess the single six .22 bit him on the thumb! Notice in the next frame, they'd cleaned him up.

Watching too. When I seen his finger with little dried blood, my thoughts too; slide bitten. ;-)
This show is & always has been pretty educational.

I think it may have been out of sequence from editing.

I felt it was mostly pro-gun with an attempt to balance the programs content. A very interesting program to watch.

To those who missed it you can see it here:

I finished watching the show late this evening (thank goodness for DVR's) and thought the show was a pretty good representation of some of the issues around today. But what blew me away was finding out that Ted Coppell is (a) still alive and (b) still working in television and that he's now (c) working for CBS News! It was good to see him back on the screen, again.

It was a slick/subtle anti-gun show.

Right from the start they tried to implant the bogus idea that the show would be neutral. It wasn't by a very long stretch.

If you watch it again, be a bit more discriminatory and look at their sources. One was a "CBS Poll" they'd taken and the results were presented as fact.

This and other clues will reveal the show for it is, overall anti-gun.

Subtly done anti-gun show.
