Gun
I was checking the listings on direct TV this evening and noticed a listing with the title of “Gun” that’s it, just “Gun”. I went to the “information listing and it appears to be an eighteen minute anti-gun propaganda film. I had just finished dinner so I didn’t watch it. The information alone made me angry.
I guess they can do things like this and there is not a thing we can do about it.

Re: Gun
Sounds like a gun version of "Reefer Madness".

I did a search for it on TWC and couldn't find it.

Hmmm it is on something called Shorts TV. Apparently all short tv segments.
Its listed under crime category. I think it's a fictional drama and not an anti gun crusade but I don't have Direct TV so can't say for sure...

It is an 17 minute short film. This link tells a little bit more about it http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2426154/?ref_=nmbio_mbioVoiceofReason wrote:It appears it is on channel 573 SHRTHD whatever that means and it is labeled “Drama, Suspense, Special”C-dub wrote:I did a search for it on TWC and couldn't find it.
The description almost makes it sound like a "Deathwish" type of movie.Roy and Karen, new parents living in suburbia, have a terrifying break-in. Buying a handgun for home defense, Roy gets obsessed with a newfound sense of power he feels carrying the concealed weapon. Roy steers away from protecting his family and heads down a reckless path that may have tragic consequences.
It might be good. They should have given it a different title. It makes it hard to search.

Re: Gun
I haven’t watched it. I am taking medication for my blood pressure. Just judging by the synopsis you know it is anti gun propaganda. Probably funded by Bloomberg.WildBill wrote:It is an 17 minute short film. Spencer Gillis is the writer and producer. He has a lot of experience as a camera operator and such and is starting to produce and direct his own movies.VoiceofReason wrote:I haven’t watched it. If Bloomberg funded it, it would be more than 17 minutes long.

Re: Gun
Thanks WildBill for the IMDb link! That's a good website.
Interesting to note that it was filmed entirely in New Jersey.
Small wonder, eh?
I'm surprised it's not on YouTube. It's only 17 min. long.

It was filmed in New Jersey, but the writer, director is from Kansas.
It may not be what you think.
Check out the trailer and the interviews with the film maker.

Re: Gun
Well WildBill, thanks again for the trailers. I want to say it appears to be a 17 min. infomercial for Bloomberg, MDA, etc., but I'd like to see the film to verify my desire to throw up with what I've seen, to see if I was justified.

Speaking of anti-gun: The "Gateway to Airguns" and "Texas CHL" forums are banned from WalMart's public Wifi. Even so, one can walk into the Jacksonville store and purchase rifles and shotguns, pellet guns and ammo for either. They also sell slingshots.
That's kinda' funny, ain't it?
