Runner Runner quality questions

Post by greenbeer »

Hey guys.
I'm searching for a lower receiver for an AR. I had planned on a mega forged lower but can't find one in stock. I did find a billet lower from Runner Runner at a similar price point but have some concerns on quality. Fit finish etc. do any of you have any experience with their house brand lowers? The reciever in question is the billet no logo.

Thanks Bill

While I haven't put it together (waiting on a stamp), I do have one of their 9mm Glock lowers, and it is very nice. Fit and finish is excellent.

I've built a gun with their parts and in my experience they were very high quality. I'm no machineist but I couldn't find anything wrong with the parts I've bought from them. They are also extremely helpful if you have questions.

Thanks guys. I went ahead and picked up the lower. Now just to decide on the stock and pick up a parts kit. I'm thinking a B5 sopmod and probably a runner runner lower kit with the ALG ACT trigger in it.

I ordered the PSA LPK with their enhanced polished trigger. Looking forward to building it out next week. I haven't decided on a stock for this build yet. I have a couple of B5 SOPMOD stocks lying around, but I don't think that is the way I want to go on my AR9 build. I'm thinking about that MFT minimalist stock.

Does anyone know who makes their lowers?

I'm pretty sure New Frontier Armory makes their 9mm lowers.

I ran the MFT on my last build. Nice stock, had great lock up no wiggling at all. Pretty tough too. Unfortunately I felt like the rifle was really front heavy. If your going 9mm and if your talking stamps I'd assume SBR I doubt you'll have any balance issue with it. Enjoy the build.

Yeah, it'll be a two stamp gun. 4" barrel, 8" suppressor. If the MFT stock doesn't balance well I can always throw one of the extra SOPMOD stocks I have on it. They are pretty hefty.

You know, if you aren't using that MFT stock, maybe we can work a trade...

If I still had it around I'd jump all over that.

Too bad. If you pick up another one for a good deal, or if you have other AR parts/stuff, we can still trade. I have 2 or 3 of the stocks.
