Dodging Arrows Game DAG=DOA
A teen ager in West Virginia died while playing a game called Dodging Arrows. I need a giant face palm gif for this one. This will have to do!

If it's the same as I think, it's where one shoots an arrow straight up, and the loser is the one who loses track of it and chicken's out for cover. At least, that's a version I have heard of. As an archery instructor, I tell kids right off from experience, that shooting an arrow straight up is the dumbest thing they can do. In the famous words of Curly of the 3 Stooges - "I shoot an arrow into the air, where it lands I do not care: I get my arrows wholesale!" Yeah, you are also a stooge.

I go back to what my wife and I were talking about last night. You see the "don't try this at home" warnings on everything now it seems. We didn't have those warnings when we were kids because we weren't that stupid.

I have long been a proponent of issuing Superman capes to anyone who wants one in an urban area with tall buildings. You know, to give natural selection a chance in a world governed more by self-esteem than (un)common sense.

I think warning labels like 'don't stick fork in toaster oven' and 'don't try this at home' should be removed, and we let nature take its course.

Hmmm....maybe even crazier than that - from http://www.wsaz.com/content/news/Middle ... 38331.html:Archery1 wrote:If it's the same as I think, it's where one shoots an arrow straight up, and the loser is the one who loses track of it and chicken's out for cover.
Sad that a young man has lost his life, and the grief that his friends will have to put up with.State Police say 15-year-old Caleb Fairchild and two other juveniles were playing a game where they were dodging arrows shot from a compound bow when an arrow may have gone astray and struck Fairchild in the head.
"In the front yard they would take turns," West Virginia State Police Trooper Randall Holden said. "One of them would actually run across the yard, while another one would shoot the bow."
