That is one of my EDC choices. I have 2. Bought one then inherited one from my dad. Never had an issue.

Are you just wanting a 1911 or is there a specific size/type/configuration or budget you are after? No experience with that particular model. I googled to see the prices and looks like about a $1k gun- sound right? That's getting really close to STI prices and if that we true, I may look towards Georgetown for my next 1911.

I own other 1911's but none in the Colt flavor.
Sportsmans guide has them for $853 no tax, free shipping and my ffl is $25.
All my other ones are 5" government.

For that price, it's a good deal! I almost bought the XSE commander version a few years ago... still wonder about that pistol sometimes. ...lol
