Went shooting today

Post by baldeagle »

Went with my friend Nick back to B-Tactical in Caddo Mills and worked on zeroing the scope at 100 yards. Here's the results:
Initial rounds - high and to the left

Next two sessions - moving down and then centered

This is my AR-15 with Weaver Classic Extreme 2.5x10 56MM scope. The lower is a New Frontier (polymer), and the upper is a 5.56 stainless from SOTA
New Frontier polymer lower, SOTA stainless upper

So baldeagle, now that you own an AR and have shot it, what do you think? Would you buy/build others? Is it an addiction yet?

Nice vid! My Pops taught me that method many moons ago. He and my Dad would argue about it, mostly about wasting money on ammo.

I could do that, if I could see the holes.

As it was, I had to walk 100 yards to look at the target to see where I was hitting - and I was enjoying shooting too much to stop.

I'm retired, so money for new weapons is not as readily available as it once was. I bought this rifle for the zombie apocalypse. So, I probably won't be buying another. But who knows? Things could change. One thing's for sure. I'll never catch up with you or Beiruty.

I'm getting senile! I didn't realize that. I thought that this was his first range trip with an AR. Well, they say the mind is the second thing to go. Don't remember what the first was......

That's okay... I wouldn't have remembered either, except that I helped him get sighted in the first time.

That is too cool. I wish I had thought of that a few years ago.
