Llano Crawfish Festival Illegally Posted 30.06

Post by RicoTX »

I would not have thought that Llano TX, the so called Deer Hunting Capital would be anti gun... But alas the city park had been posted 30.06 for the Llano Crawfish Festival this weekend.

Then do this: https://www.texasfirearmscoalition.com/ ... aint-forms

Even if they take the sign down after the event, send complaint letters and make sure you upload copies to Mr. Cotton. These short term violations need to be documented to take to the Legislature.

Just the 30.06 and no 30.07 sign? If not, I guess you could have tucked your shirt in or took your cover garment off and displayed your blaster. As much as I dislike open carry, it seems to me that they just wanted to see all the pretty BBQ/Crawfish Boil guns people were wearing. :evil2:

Of course that would have most likely lead to a verbal notification at which time you would have needed to exit.

Actually, verbal notice means nothing on government property, same as a sign. Might take a ride and win a nice lawsuit though!

That's what it is going to take, someone willing to take that ride on the expectation of a bigger victory later. Hard for most folks to take that ride, though.

Looks like exact wording to me. It's a valid sign. I know I wouldn't past by it.

Might be a properly worded sign, but if it is on a City Park it is most certainly not valid. :tiphat:

Sort of ironic since the event was started by hunters!

I agree with this, and would take it a step further. It seems that these "anti" types who hold public office are not experiencing pain for the costs associated with their actions. We should keep these types accountable come election time.

If a city/town/community is fined over actions taken by an elected/appointed official causing an undue financial burden on the constituents, then said officials should enjoy that being of their campaign. We all know stupid needs to hurt in order for some to learn. Make it hurt them on a personal financial level. Make their bid for office be so expensive they find it untenable.

Agree. If they want to pull that, open carry it is.
