I carried concealed into the Bexar County Tax Assessor-Collector's office today. I was in the office in the Vista Verde Building, 233 N. Pecos la Trinidad, San Antonio Texas 78207-3175.
At the door was a sign saying it was illegal to carry without a license. OK. I proceeded. When I got past the vestibule, I encountered a metal detector manned by a security guard. I showed him my license and, when he asked where I had the weapon, I pointed. He let me go around the metal detector and go about my business.
There was no incident. I thought a bit of good news would be appropriate.

Sounds good, that's the way they do it at the Capitol in Austin, but they don't ask where it is, that seems a bit of an overreach, but overall, at least progress is being made.

They used to have a sign banning concealed carry, at least at the Bandera Road office. Progress!
