My first kydex holster

Post by cmgee67 »

I decided to try my hand at making a kydex holster. This fits my G26 and G19. I'm sure it would fit the G23 and 27 as well. It doubles as an IWB and OWB holster and works very well. I think it turned out pretty good what do you guys think?

It looks great. If you didn't post that you made it, I would have thought is was store bought. :thumbs2:

:iagree:

I can't tell the difference from yours and those made by "professionals". I've been looking at doing some for knife sheaths and possibly a holster, but haven't done anything yet.

Great job. :thumbs2:

Much appreciated! Will be making a couple more for some family members soon. That's why I wanted to get into it. I saw what was on the market and couldn't find one I liked very much and figured hey I bet I can do that. I never intend on making it a business just wanna do it for fun and friends and family just mainly a new hobby. My fiancé would tell you "great another hobby that's just what you need" LOL

You did a good job there.

My son has been making kydex holsters for family and friends for a while now, and they look great. He made me one for my G17 that looks a lot like yours. Here's the left-handed IWB holster he made for my G43. He made one just like it for my wife's G43 too. The belt clip can be FBI canted, but I keep it straight like that because I wear it appendix carry.

And it took me about two hours total from start to finish. If you have any questions on what I used or how I did it send me a private message and I'll be more than happy to assist you!

That was enough carbon fiber pattern kydex to make two holsters like my IWB above, and two mag carriers, with some left over. That was two 8x12 sheets, for $11.99. My son bought the clips, not sure where, but I don't think he spent more than 2 or 3 dollars for them.
